Former Growers COO and Syngenta Ventures Investment Director brings 15 years of experience to award-winning advanced crop analytics company.
SAN FRANCISCO (Aug 13, 2020) - FluroSat, a world leader in agronomic decision support and remote crop sensing, announced today that Gabriel Wilmoth will join the company as an independent board director.
We are thrilled to have Gabriel join FluroSat as we expand our footprint across the United States and into South American markets. Gabriel’s unique perspective from working with multiple, fast-growing agtech firms will help us scale sustainably and serve our customers even better.

To FluroSat, Gabriel brings a rare combination of skills from being “on both sides of the table” first as an investor and then as a start-up executive. During his time at Syngenta Ventures, he made early investments in some of the sectors’ most exciting companies including Blue River Technology (acquired by John Deere for $300M), GreenLight Biosciences (which recently raised a $100M Series D), Sound Agriculture (which recently raised a $22M Series C), as well as several others. More recently, as COO of the precision ag company Growers, Gabriel helped the leadership team raise $12M from top ag investors, expand acres under management by 5x to 20+ US states, and achieve a successful exit in an acquisition by ICL in February 2020.

Gabriel joins the board alongside existing FluroSat board members, including Volkova, Mike Zimmerman from Main Sequence (CSIRO Innovation Fund), Samir Kumar from Microsoft's M12 Ventures, and Elicia McDonald from AirTree.
